Watch Your Stock Prices Rise With Viral Publicity Marketing

By James Scott

Why do we rent movies or strap into rattling roller-coasters rides or watch, with teary eyes, romantic films or comedies? Why do people seek out the temporary release of alcohol or pharmaceutical and illegal barbiturates? People long for the long lost and ancient connection with their emotions.

People are desperate to 'feel' something, anything and as publicists it's part of our employ to tangle with the emotions to trigger a response. We are trying to trigger a natural reaction from a willing candidate. Man has proven over and over again that they will buy anything so long as it hits on the emotional pressure points.

We make up our minds to purchase cars, homes and clothing all based on emotion. How does the ad or article make one feel when the emotions become entwined with this content? What elements are missing in the target consumer psyche and how can we fill that void while simultaneously branding our client's product and calling the candidate to action?

We play on the sadness, hopes, fears and aspirations for one reason, to slowly draw the target market in on behalf of our client so that when they feel sad, hopeless, desperate or in need, this 'brand' comes to mind as the automatic answer to all of these issues.

Publicity marketers must have a solid comprehension of the target market's emotional element, what makes them happy, sad, stressed etc in order to reap the full rewards of a campaign.

The reader must pay close attention to the colors, voiceover tone, background music, video clip and image choice, vocabulary and on screen text with webmercials and take into consideration similar aspects when writing articles or creating ads.

These tactics lower the guard of the target which allows a message to be imbedded in their subconcious mind. This is done with music, film, political promotions and yes, even ads.

At the day's end, results are what keep the clients coming back and if the advertising ingredients can cradle a sort of post hypnotic cue that calls a client to action, then the needs of the client are being met with branding and sale conversion and the emotional needs of the customer are being taken care of as well. This is one of the few times in life that there is truly a win/win relationship. - 23208

Investing The Real Truth

By Samatha Ferguson

Investing and money is a major topic on most people minds these days. Adding to that fact there is no shortage of people out there trying to make money showing you the secrets to investing and how to get rich investing for a price. Normally the only one who really makes any money from these programs is those selling them.

Looking at the basics of investing we find that there are no set rules. Dont confuse that with the set rules that must be followed when purchasing stock, bonds, buying a house and such. Those are just the details of making it happen. Investing doesnt have any real set rules, you cant just write down a set of rules for investing and people get rich.

Investing is actually an art form. Like most art forms it takes knowledge, experience, practice, and lots of work. Like art it also takes commitment. Investing is a lifelong practice with goals along the way.

What area you decide to invest in; stocks, bonds, real estate, and such there is one thing that is always consistent and will directly affect your money. Regardless what you invest in, people and society will always dictate how any investment will do. Why didnt I say data or the investment itself? People and society have a very profound and direct affect on any investment. For example, if you decide to invest in stock, how the company is doing is what determines if you make or lose money. What affects the company more than anything? People run the company; those people will either make or break the company and your investment.

Should I mention Enron? The company fell apart because of greedy people running the company. Investors lost a lot of money due to those people. What about Krispy Kreme? Societys obsession with weight, health, and healthy food almost destroyed the company just because of one report on how unhealthy the doughnuts are to consume. Making matters worse, people at the top almost finished the company because they got involved in fuzzy business practices.

People and society can and always will affect your investments. However, dont look at just the negative. They can also affect them in a very positive way as well. Just look at how many businesses got started. They started with an idea someone had and they grew it into an investment opportunity that it still making some investors kick themselves for not having enough forward insight to invest early.

While looking at the data and details of an investment, also take a look at the people factor. Ask yourself, Would society like this idea or product? Society and people are slow to change, so remember that when you are thinking of an investment which involves a drastic change in the behavior of society. So investing in a drive thru funeral home isnt probably a good idea even though our society loves fast and convenient services and products. Dont laugh; someone already tried it.

So before you throw your money into an investment, look at the people factor. Are the people running the investment worthy of your money? Would society accept such a new idea or product? These and many more questions you should ask yourself before throwing money into an investment. - 23208

Investment Newsletter: A Guide To The Money Market And Strategic Investing

By Mathew Fagundes

I have been working in the oil and gas industry for a couple of years now. The pay is good but the job can be very dangerous. One day, I had an accident that almost took my life. It was then that I realized that I needed to do something about the money I earn. Working in an offshore oil field for the rest of my life is not something that I want long term, even if the pay is good. I know I have to do something with the money that I am earning now so that I can retire early and spend more time with my wife and my twins.

I am thinking of investing in the stock market to achieve my financial goals; this is one of the investment strategies I am considering. But the problem is, I have no idea how the stock market works. I don't watch business programs nore read the business section in the papers. So what I did was to ask my friends and family if they can help me out with my problem. My cousin suggested that I start looking for information such as an investment newsletter or guide over the internet just to get a feel of what the stock market is all about.

I wasn't tech-savvy so I asked my wife to walk me through the internet and together, we searched online for investment strategy options. After a few days of checking out various websites, my wife and I found the website of My Strategic Forecast. We were presented with many options as there were a number of companies providing investment newsletters and stock market guides; however we decided to choose My Startegic Forecast because we were impressed with the technology they use in gathering data.

Although I am not familiar with investing, I am aware that movements in the price of oil are affected by a lot of things, such as political problems, environmental issues, and even demand and supply. I think that these factors are also taken into consideration in the stock market. In terms of innovation in the forecasting system, I am completely blown away by My Strategic Forecast's technology. Other than the technical analysis, the company also incorporates political conditions, geopolitical factors, economic trends as well as solar-geophysical data.

What made me decide to go for My Strategic Forecast was their attractive low monthly fee. The $99 monthly fee for My Strategic Forecast was a big deal breaker for me because other firms charge exorbitant fees. In addition, I receive regular email notifications about good stocks to invets on and that's on top of the investment newsletters I subscribe to. I made a of money from my investment in just six months after subscribing. I am really thankful because I am closer to reaching my financial goals; I will be able to retire early and at the same time, provide the needs of my family. - 23208

Leveraged Short ETFs

By Ahmad Hassam

The ProShares Short Dow 30 ETF (DOG) will return the inverse of the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) on daily basis. If the DJIA falls by 2%, DOG rises by 2% and if the DJIA rises by 2%, DOG will fall by 2%. Short ETF returns the inverse of the index it is linked to.

Short ETFs are also known as Inverse ETFs or Bear ETFs. During the past few years, the number of Short ETFs has risen dramatically. Short ETFs not only cover the major stock indices like the S&P 500 or the DJIA but also different sectors like the energy, utilities or technology. You will even find Inverse ETFs on currencies now.

The ProShares UltraShort Dow 30 ETF (DXD) rises 2% when the DJIA falls by 1%. So you can even find leverage short ETFs. A leveraged short ETF gives the trader leverage without the use of margins.

Over the years, short ETFs have risen in popularity with the investors and hedge funds. Short ETFs give you an excellent opportunity to profit from the volatility in the market and the major indices.

Before the introduction of short ETFs, a trader had to actually short sell stocks to take advantage of a market drop. Short ETFs are a great product as they have created new opportunities for traders.

ETFs have opened up a whole new way of profiting from the markets. The trader had to go against the trend and buy or else move into cash or fixed income in the past if the market was dropping. Traders are not allowed to sell short stocks or ETFs in their retirement accounts. Short and leveraged ETFs provide traders with new opportunities.

China is one example that garners a lot of attention. The Shanghai Index in China rose 100% in 2007. In the first quarter of 2008, the Shanghai Index was down 35%. ETFs also provide you with the opportunity to take advantage of the global market swings.

The ProShares family of ETFs introduced the Ultrashort FTSE/Xinhua China 25 ETF (FXP). Now if you want to trade the fall of Chinese stocks, you can trade FXP ETF. In the past, traders who wanted to benefit from the fall of Chinese stocks could only short Chinese stocks that were traded in US Stock Exchanges.

Assume you have a portfolio of $100,000 composed of 75% stocks and 25% money market fixed income. As a long term investor you can take advantage of short ETFs to hedge your portfolio position.

As a long term trader, you are interested in the long term forecast for the market but still do worry about the short term trend in the market as it has the potential of wiping out your portfolio. The forecast of the market for the next six months is not good. But you are reluctant to sell your stocks due to tax reasons. Suppose the market falls by 10%. Your stock portfolio falls by 7.5% assuming the same ratio between the market and your portfolio. - 23208
